Episode 13 • Randy Wojnarowicz

What I write and why… I always knew I wanted a family. My family was with me by my bedside when I was too weak and sick to get up out of it due to my Ulcerative Colitis. They were there when I recovered from my two surgeries, they were there to celebrate my graduations, prom, wedding, and the birth of my two daughters. My family also had heartbreak, estrangement, endured a world war, second marriage and adoption. None of that was ever a signal that we didn’t love one another, but a testament to how much we did love each other through life’s most difficult moments. I write stories about love and families. These are everyday people who do extraordinary things in the face of life’s most pivotal moments. Sometimes the meaning we give to the moment is the difference between building a life and destroying it.
